Policy overview
This document combines the Let's Tech Club Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Payment and Refund Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Together, they form the agreement between you and Let's Tech Club when you visit, create an account, enrol in a course, teach, publish or otherwise use the platform.
By using the service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these policies. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept them for that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These are general platform terms. Mandatory consumer, education, privacy and other laws that apply to you remain effective and take priority over any conflicting provision in this document.
Terms of service
Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.
- You are responsible for your password, sessions and activity performed through your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- You may not sell, share or transfer an account unless we approve the transfer in writing.
- Administrators may assign student, instructor or administrator roles based on legitimate platform needs.
Courses and learning access
Course descriptions, schedules, prerequisites, capacity, delivery format and included resources may differ between courses. Access is personal, limited, revocable and nontransferable unless a written organisational agreement says otherwise.
Recorded, live cohort and hybrid courses may include lessons, assignments, quizzes, community discussions, instructor feedback, recordings and certificates. We may make reasonable changes to schedules, instructors or materials when needed to maintain course quality or respond to circumstances outside our control.
Educational outcomes
We aim to provide practical, useful education, but participation does not guarantee employment, promotion, income, certification by another organisation or any specific academic or career result. Learners remain responsible for their own decisions and work.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve, replace or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, but we will use reasonable care to minimise disruption and communicate material changes when practical.
Payments, enrolment and refunds
Prices and payment review
- Prices, currencies, taxes and included services are shown at checkout or in the applicable course offer.
- When payment proof is required, enrolment may remain pending until an authorised administrator verifies it.
- Submitting altered, duplicate, misleading or fraudulent payment evidence may result in rejection, suspension or investigation.
- Do not include banking passwords, PINs, one time codes or unrelated financial information in a payment proof.
Refunds and cancellations
Refund eligibility is governed by the course specific offer shown when you purchase, any written agreement with us and applicable consumer law. Unless those terms say otherwise, submitting payment does not create an unconditional right to a refund after substantial course access, downloadable materials, live attendance or completed services.
If Let's Tech Club cancels a paid course without providing a reasonable replacement, affected learners may receive a refund, credit or transfer as appropriate. To request a review, contact us with the account email, course name, payment date and reason. We may ask for information needed to confirm the transaction.
Nothing in this section limits a refund, cancellation or other remedy that cannot legally be excluded in your location.
Acceptable use and community safety
Members must use the platform respectfully, lawfully and in a way that supports a safe learning environment. You must not:
- Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against or impersonate another person.
- Publish unlawful, deceptive, sexually exploitative, hateful or privacy invasive material.
- Share another person's private information, class link, private message or work without permission.
- Upload malware, harmful code, stolen material or files you have no right to distribute.
- Cheat, misrepresent authorship, manipulate assessments or submit another person's work as your own.
- Scrape, probe, overload, reverse engineer or bypass platform security or access controls except where law expressly permits.
- Use automated systems to collect member information, send spam or create artificial engagement.
- Use course or community access for unauthorised commercial solicitation.
We may review reports, limit visibility, remove content, preserve evidence, restrict features or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to protect members, investigate misuse or comply with law. Where appropriate, users may contact us to request a review of a moderation decision.
Content and intellectual property
Our materials
The platform, branding, software, course design and materials supplied by Let's Tech Club or its instructors are protected by intellectual property laws. Enrolment gives you permission to use included materials for personal learning. It does not transfer ownership or permit resale, public redistribution or removal of ownership notices.
Your content
You keep ownership of original work you submit, including portfolio projects, assignment work, posts, comments and profile content. You grant Let's Tech Club a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve and promote the features in which you chose to publish it. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backups, legal retention and content already shared by others in accordance with the service.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload. Private submissions are shared only with authorised users involved in learning, review, administration or support unless law requires otherwise.
Third party services and links
Courses may link to services such as video hosts, meeting platforms, object storage or external resources. Their own terms and privacy rules apply when you use them. We are not responsible for independent third party services that we do not control.
Privacy policy
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, password credentials in protected form, role, status and profile image.
- Profile and portfolio information: handle, biography, occupation, skills, links, projects, collaborators and media you choose to publish.
- Learning records: enrolments, lesson activity, progress, notes, bookmarks, quiz attempts, assignments, submissions, grades, feedback, goals, achievements and certificates.
- Live learning information: cohort membership, schedules, attendance, discussions and access to recordings or resources.
- Payment information: selected course, amount, payment reference, review status and payment proof. We do not ask for banking passwords or PINs.
- Community and communication data: follows, groups, posts, comments, reactions, reports, direct messages and attachments.
- Technical and security data: session identifiers, browser or device information, timestamps, logs, request information and audit events.

How we use information
- Provide accounts, courses, assessments, feedback, certificates, communities, messaging and support.
- Verify enrolment and payment submissions and maintain transaction records.
- Personalise dashboards, preserve progress and help instructors support learners.
- Send essential account, security, course and service communications.
- Moderate content, investigate reports, prevent fraud and protect the service.
- Measure course participation, learning outcomes, reliability and product performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Legal reasons for processing
Depending on applicable law and context, we process information to perform our agreement with you, meet legal obligations, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the platform, or act with your consent. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for future processing.
When information is shared
- With instructors, administrators and authorised support personnel who need it to deliver the service.
- With cohort or community members when you choose to post, message, collaborate or maintain a public profile.
- With infrastructure, storage, email, communications and other vendors acting for us under appropriate obligations.
- With professional advisers, authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary for law, safety, fraud prevention or legal claims.
- As part of a merger, financing, restructuring or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently use personal information for cross context behavioural advertising. If that practice changes, we will update this notice and provide any choices required by applicable law.
Public information
Public profiles, portfolio projects and community contributions may be visible to other users or the public, depending on the feature and your choices. Do not publish information you want to keep confidential. Private messages and submissions are not public, but may be accessed by authorised personnel for support, moderation, security or legal reasons.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain learning and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse and comply with law. Retention varies by record type. Backups may retain deleted information for a limited period before secure rotation. Some records may be preserved when law, safety or legitimate legal claims require it.
Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted transport, protected credentials, logging and backups. No online service can promise absolute security. Information may be processed in countries where our infrastructure or providers operate, with safeguards required by applicable law.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to know about, access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a portable copy of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of sale or sharing and complain to a privacy authority. You will not be discriminated against for exercising a legal privacy right.
You can update some profile information directly. For other requests, email hello@letstech.club with the subject “Privacy request”. Describe the request and identify the account involved. We may verify your identity and authority before disclosing or changing data. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation or exception.
Because we do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross context behavioural advertising, there is no sale or advertising sharing to opt out of at this time. We will honour legally recognised browser signals where they apply to future covered processing.
Children and young learners
The platform is not directed to children below the minimum age at which they may lawfully provide their own consent to use an online service. A learner who has not reached the age of legal majority must use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent, guardian or authorised educational organisation when required by law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child where verifiable parental or institutional consent is legally required and has not been obtained. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information improperly should contact us. We will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include restricting the account or deleting information subject to lawful retention requirements.
Suspension, liability, disputes and contact
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for material policy violations, fraud, safety risks, nonpayment, legal requirements or conduct that threatens the platform or its members. Where appropriate and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including payment, ownership, disclaimers and dispute terms, remain effective.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim warranties that cannot reasonably be made about uninterrupted operation, error free content or particular educational, employment or commercial outcomes. This does not exclude warranties or guarantees that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Let's Tech Club and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Any aggregate liability relating to a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or deliberate misconduct.
Governing rules and dispute resolution
Before starting a formal claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern informally. Unless mandatory law gives you another right, these policies are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Let's Tech Club operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Courts with lawful jurisdiction over Let's Tech Club may hear unresolved disputes. Mandatory consumer rights and access to regulators or small claims processes remain unaffected.
Policy changes
We may update these policies as the service, law or our practices change. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policies, except where law requires explicit consent.
